I'm looking in doing a PS swap later on this year, and I'm interested in what pulley swaps- crankshaft or water pump pulleys work on the F engine. I've read not all 2f pulleys will work on the F's.

Also, any bracket ideas for the pump would be appreciated- I'm looking at the minitruck. Is moving the alt to passenger's side and using the old alt location on the driver's side the best bet?

How much of a PITA is this? It'll all be done on a 1970 40 series.

Thanks, ty

Move the alt to the pass side. Get a 2F alt bracket and put on the F pass side. Mine is a 71 and it had 2 of the 3 bolt holes already on the head. Has worked fine with just the 2 bolts for the last 2 years. You will have to extend your alt wiring, but the Toy alt should bolt right up. I put a CS 130 alt in so I had to modify/fab on the bracket a bit. Haven't got the pump installed yet but plan on using/modifying the old F alt bracket keeping the pump low to leave room for a york pump for compressed air.

There are a lot of answers to go thru here...a lot of small details to work out.
You'll need at least a 2 groove crank pulley.
Pump mounts, I know of 3...
1) Using the two front left side head bolts (I got Mudrak's)
B) down low on the left (like Mark A,s) (which I also got)
III) Bill Dorey's...(which I've never even seen).

Water pump pulleys are not the same between fan clutch and direct drive fans. Different bolt spacings.

It can be a  job or maybe :banana::banana: depending on how hard you make it on yourself.
Do a lot of research, gather your parts, you can put it together in a day. Probably gonna lose the stock airfilter as well...

Basically what don said, f2 alt bracket, need pulleys from at least a 73 f (had the air pump extra pulley) and fab up a bracket to hold the pump. The 73 and 74 pulley should fit your water pump. My Toyota pump fits under the air cleaner fine on my 74.

Thanks! Looks like moving the alt over is the way to do it. Will the belts run crank, alt, water pump & one for crank & power steering?

Both belts should go around the crank pulleys and the water pump pulleys.
