I have completed the rear brake installation on my 96 LX450. I went by the TexasKnowHow on youtube. Im getting a high pitched squeal and slight rubbing sound on one side. Any thoughts on what I need to do? Also, there were 4 small clips included along with the normal pad replacement clip. Any idea what these are used for?

Upon searching high and low, looks like these are anti rattle clips. Not sure how to use them.

Not familiar with those clips. I only know of the insert clips that fit into the caliper pad channel. Did you check to make sure the calipers werent seized before putting the new pads in? Did you properly bed the pads in after installing?

Those clips are normally the wear indicators for the brake pads, time to change out the pads when they hit the rotor and cause a familiar squeal.

Update... Yesterday I pulled everything off on each side and followed steps in reinstalling. Made sure ALL items lubed. Re-did brake seating steps. After driving home (about 8 miles) could still hear unusual noises (squeal/rub) back there. Could it be I need to adjust emergency brake shoes? At a standstill...
