handcannon,

Thanks for the info on the cooler from summit.

CruiserStuff,

Thanks for the heads-up on the offering at JTOutfitters and Man-A-Fre.

Purely out of ignorance, what are the ramifications of not running a cooler? Current set-up does not have one. I understand that it will keep the PS fluid from overheating/boiling but when is this likely to be an issue? Hard wheeling at low speeds? High speeds due to RPM's?

Just trying to learn...

I saw that JTOutfitters has the power steering cooler, but Man-A-Fre appears to have a similar (if not identical one) for about 1/2 the price......
......

I just went to Man-A-Fre's web site to look at their coolers. The tranny cooler didn't have a pic, but the PS cooler sure looked like a tube style instead of a plate and fin cooler. Neither one was listed as a plate and fin cooler. I'm not an expert so I could be wrong, but from what I have read about them the plate and fin cooler is supposed to be more efficient at cooling.

Don

Edit: I just went on Summit's web site to double check and their cooler is listed as a plate and fin style.

I took a closer look today and (I don't know how I missed it before) I have a cooler (fin style). All in need is the Dorry bracket and I think that I am set to go.

My above statement sounds like a good theory but I am sure something will go wrong.
