Yep, what he said^^ I just replaced my pressure hose last week with a Gates.

Guys I'm sorry I wasn't clear and what I'm looking for the fitting that screws into the power steering gear the threads on the gearbox not the size of the wrench. I'm putting - 6 power steering lines and I need to know the fitting size for the gearbox if I'm not wrong its 16mm and 17 mm just trying to confirm

I'd take it down to a hydraulic shop to have them confirm it. Don't trust the interwebs for that! Why are you going AN-6? They're pretty yes but a competent hydraulic hose specialist can make some outstandingly durable lines that should last into the next ice age in something as relatively low stress as power steering.

Any bugaboos or having the fitting adapter spin in the pump when you changed yours?

Oh yeah, I had a heck of a time getting the fitting lined up just perfectly to get it to screw into the pump. I had to undo the lower bracket (after already reattaching, and get up on a bench over the engine to get the line lined up perfectly to start threading. Then finished it up through the wheel well.

Sorry, can't help with that question...

This is a build using a GM LQ9 so i,m going from GM to Toyota, and using an fitting you can repair on the trail

I'm all for self reliance but I've never had a power steering hose that wasn't ancient and crusty fail catastrophically. There is some comfort in swaged and crimped ends made by a guy who makes a living at it. I can see the repairability aspect of 6AN fittings and bulk hose but there are more nodes of failure.

I checked out the build thread. That's a LOT of work and I find it fascinating. And here I am thinking I was pretty talented for putting a TBI 350 in an XJ many moons ago...
