My '04 LC100 has developed a leak in the power steering hose assembly. The oe part ( 44410‑60593 ) is available but spendy @ over $500. The aftermarket part options are around $200.

Is the OE version worth paying a premium or is the consensus to go with the aftermarket?

Any vendor pointers welcome.

Looks like fluid is blowing out that port on the valve where you’re missing a vacuum hose, not the PS hose.

Well, there are several PS hoses.... so apples to apples comparison might be difficult. If, indeed, the high pressure portion of your hose is failing, folks have been happy with the Sungsong branded hose for less than $100. My gut feeling is, it's an okay replacement. Should the HP hose fail, it is not usually a catastrophic failure but rather a leak. But I have not heard of any failing... yet.

My local pneumatic shops can make custom made industrial hoses. I recently replaced my rack and one of the dealer said to replace the hose, I decided if it really needed a replacing, I'd take the old hose as a sample and get one made. turns out, another shop didn't replace the hose, it was only missing a washer lol. Shops usually have industrial hoses of different ID, they just match and either use old fittings or new if it's available. It's a bit of leg-work if you don't know any shops that have them but otherwise, just as good as pressure hose. IMO, doesn't necessarily have to be OEM as long as it's a pressure hose rated for it's application.

Seems like everyone has an opinion but this is the only one with any logic.

That little air vane or whatever the heck it's called is supposed to have another line running up towards the intake . I could take pictures if needed.
