The driver seat switch that lowers the back part of the seat (not to be confused with the seat-back) is not working. Before I start trying to pry things apart, thought I'd ask for help.
How do I get access to those switches? It looks like the seat might have to come out.

Thanks,
Ed

You do not have to remove the seat to get to the switch.

The entire power seat switch is one single assembly. To remove the switch assembly, first pull the plastic knobs off. The face plate must be pryed off, which could break in the process due to the plastic turning brittle over time. There are three screws holding the switch assembly to the seat. You might be able to take the three screws out, but the switch will not come out without removing/loosing the lower seat cusion cover. The switch comes with about 8" of wires that disconnects in the front of the seat - wiggle the wire to trace the connector.

I have a used switch and cover plate if you are interested - PM me.

Rick and 97,

Thanks for the replies. When I looked at it yesterday I wasn't sure if taking the face plate off would give access to the screws. So I didn't pry with much force, thinking I would break it and find that it didn't really have to come off.

I'll try to finess it off tomorrow.

Ed
