Has anyone tried/used these, or similar gears from Aliexpress? Power seat gears.

so says Gamiviti

$90 at the website. Wow. Not what I remember when I bought mine years ago. Manual seats anyone?

Who rebuilds passenger seats?

I did the gamiviti ones and a week later the driver side was jacked up again so I've been thinking about ordering the brass ones off eBay.

The passenger side still works with the gamiviti ones.

That's for 6 gears and 2 caps. Enough gears for 3 trucks.

FWIW, you want the nylon gear as the "fuse" for these as opposed to the motor or some other NLA part.

As has been said numerous times, the primary reason for seat gear failure is the 28+ year old grease that Toyota used has now turned to glue. You have to take the time to clean out all the old glue and replace the top washer that has now turned into a unknown, sticky substance, and lubricate with white lithium grease. A standard garden hose gasket works for the top washer, once you snip off the ears.
This takes considerably more time than just replacing the gear, but it fixes the issue.

Hi all, I’m new around here. If you have a 3D printer you can print these. I just replaced my gears yesterday. Between that and cleaning out the old grease it works like new. I also added a shim washers to take up some lateral play. I printed with ASA at my printers (Bambu P1S) highest quality and did a 20 minute vapor smooth.

That’s a free link to the part files so that you can 3D print them yourselves given you have a capable printer. These cost me $0.12 in filament to make.

But why, we have @Gamiviti who has been supporting the Land Cruiser world for decades?

On the other hand there is always room for more support and interest in keeping our Land Cruisers on the road!

you want the nylon.... it's a fusible link if you will. brass will just cause more issues.
sorry, but i think they failed do to user error.

I think that a brass gear is dangerous!
If the brass was to eat through the nylon worm gear you are screwed. You would have to try and replace that worm gear or entire drive shaft and where would you get one ?

That was my point in post #8. You want the nylon gear as the fuse because it's easily replaceable. The rest of the drive components are NLA unless you find them from someone parting out a truck.
