I had a heater T break going up the first big climb on hells revenge this summer. Blocked off the heater core by cycling the coolant right into the block. the flagged down a side by side every couple of minutes and treaded seltzers for water to get me filled up.

finished the trail and then drove the 300 miles home.

water, large zip ties, an impact, angle grinder (cut off wheel) and gorilla tape is usually enough to get a 200 moving again.
This literally happened to me summer of 2022 on Hells Gate. Bypassed the rear with the existing hoses and topped off with Moab city water and then drove all the way home to Portland.

Y U do that???
I wish I knew. I did all these hard trails and no damage other than a few more scrapes on the diffs and LCAs. I was on a chill part of Italian Creek in the shade and my eyes/mind just plain didn't register a massive tree stump sticking out on the passenger side. Pretty upset about it but what can I do? I'm just glad I found the door/fender so affordable. Same color too.

Fortuitous for you. Could a been really bad news up there.

I've done a fender before. It isn't too bad, just use a spacer shim to help get the gap lined correctly.
Do you have this documented somewhere? I haven't done much searching yet.

Aftermarket parts exist that can handle this abuse and much more. Theyre beefy aluminum. Only come in stock length for now though. If you elect to go this route, let me know and we can help.
You make aftermarket inner tie rods out of aluminum? I’m assuming you’re referring to the outers, I have some coachbulder tie rods sitting in my garage so already have beefier outers. The inner tie rod is what bent though.

I was referring to rear lower control arms that you showed as having bent.

Devils Pocket, Canyonlands.
Lost a mud flap, lots of scratches on the Slee sliders and underside of front and rear stock bumpers. Also kissed drivers rear quarter panel in the Devil's Pocket.

That makes more sense. I didn't go with billet aluminum rear lowers because I’m afraid I’d destroy them. Also higher cost for something I’m afraid I’d wreck. Legitimate reason or not?
I'll let @TN LX570 tell his first hand thoughts on the aluminum arms thus far.

You'll scratch them, and maybe gouge them a bit depending on the rocks you're dealing with. But last time I had his truck on the rack was after some ledges had been WHACKED, and there was 0 deformation. There's a reason bouncers and buggies are running aluminum links instead of steel.
