If you read any of my posts I purchased a 1998 with 305k on it with a blown engine... 2 points... 1. the only reason it wasn't still running was because of a major radiator failure... when i pulled the engine apart just for a look you could still see the cross hatch hone marks and all the bearings in the bottom end seemed fine..... 2. the engine is simple to replace and inexpensive to source I installed a 2003 4.7 out of a 4runner with 138k miles with new timing belt, water pump, hoses, belt, radiator ect (full 90k service) I spent less than $1000... 12-16hrs of my slow labor... at the time I did do the shocks, full lube, and the rack bushings... but i think it runs and drives as well as the lx470 my wife drives
Just bought my 2005 black/tan LC with 78,000 original miles. Originally I was going to buy a hybrid but the opportunity was just too good to pass up. Glad I bought a true keeper.

This thread is making me think my 99 with 157K is brand new. And that for $8600 I got a great deal. Did I mention how it's a one owner that is mint?
Rolled over 170k miles this week on my '05. Ok, not really high mileage, but the highest mileage vehicle I've owned.
Still looks and drives like new. Drive it every back and forth to work every day with a big smile on my face! (that's my oldest who thinks I'm an old man, but my truck is cool)

146k on my '06 (Daily Driver)
217k on my '99 (overland rig).
I think the '06 will probably catch up... Which means I need to be doing less DD and more overlanding!

Is the '06 petrol or diesel?
Friend has a 2000 LC with about 235,000 miles on it. They did have to replace the transmission around 90-100k but other than that it has been smooth sailing for them. family rig. Funny story actually he was on a fraternity camping trip and got a little intoxicated and began jumping on the roof of his LC. Woke up to a roof dented in that he could barely drive home. Luckily insurance covered it. My buddy blamed it on the rival fraternity that also camped there.
Mine has 190.000 on it but its been babied to the max to the point that my friend has named it the barbie mobile

Hit 100k today, and hoping for another 10 years and 100k more.
You have nothing to worry about. This car will literally go forever as long as you take care of it. Never had a problem and knock on wood I hope to never have a problem. Bought it at 197k miles without hesitation and it was the best decision of my life. lol. Currently at 231k miles.
I plan on this being my last vehicle. They are built to last over 25 years in a third world country. I'm 66 and my beast has 137k miles on it. I drive about 10k per year, I won't even be to 300k miles when I hit 80. I am in great shape, workout everyday and I figure my 100 series will be still running long after I'm gone. I do take great care of my rig and over do the preventative maintance. But it would be running fine even if I just did it by the book.
