With very good and thorough maintenance 500K is within reach. Driving habits will have a lot of influence. Should take about three key housings and three sets of seat covers, (depending on the size of the driver), to get to that level.

Very interested to see where the one with 456k ends up selling. To still bring $5100 with a day left is wild for any car closing in on half a million miles.

The biggest question: How many OEM clamshell key housings does it take to get to 456k?

I got $7500 when I sold my 1998 100 to by the new LX - although I only had 331k on it when I sold it.

My interior was still like new - only a few creases in the driver's side seat leather but no cracks or tears. No stains in the carpet either, although years of sand and dust tend not to stain things.

I just picked up a 1998 with factory rear locker for $7000 with 195k on the od. Still running like a fine Rolex.

Just hit a milestone last week. Have base lined everything, and done all scheduled maintenance (just to make sure I know everything has been done), and it runs great!

As 300,000 mile examples are becoming more and more prevalent, I think 500,000 mile 100's should be celebrated.

Kinda like how MB and others provide badges for certain milestones (ambivalent pun)

Got mine with 196k and service kept up since 28k and runs perfect. At 202k now and just replaced a coil pack a few months back.
All original coil packs except one which was replaced at 96k.

I hope to go 300k plus which would be a first by far for me. My old Volvo 850 wagon had 235k or so.
