378k miles is cool but what is amazing is that KBB still says it has a $16,421 retail value. I had to go look it up myself to make sure it was true.
It is interesting that the same truck with 275k miles is retail at $16,421 and at 378k miles it is still valued at $16,421. That means, according to my KBB app on my phone, that the last 100k miles on that truck did not depreciate it $.01!
I bought my truck with 13?,000 miles on it. It is a 2001 and I gave $9500 for it. If the original buyer gave $65,000 for it in 2001, that means the first 13?,000 miles cost them $55,500. According to the logic applied to the 378k mile truck above, my last 100,000 miles will be free! How can you afford not to drive a used LC!!

Good analysis! From reading posts by owners with high mileage 100's, it becomes more and more apparent that you should always buy used with 100k plus miles. Then just drive them for the next 400k+ miles doing the normal maintance. I would love to see a study on what vehicles are the most reliable and robust on the road today. I've read that the 100 series was designed for 25 years of service. It would be interesting to have more threads talking about how these rigs are designed for the long term. JMHO
