I flushed all coolant from the block, radiator and reservoir & also replaced the thermostat last weekend. I've driven the LC a few times since and the first time I noticed that the coolant level in the reservoir dropped from the fill line to 1/2-3/4 full. I refilled and drove 50 miles, didn't check coolant afterwards. Next day I checked fluid and it's again at just over half full, drive 50 miles round trip for work and when home the reservoir is only 1/4 full.

I don't see any signs of a leak, my guess is this is just the block slowly refilling? The radiator is full, haven't needed to add anything. Any help is appreciated.

Fill to cold line in morning when cold. Repeat each morning until holds cold line. May take 3 or 4 mornings to get air out (self burping system)

a buddy recently told me that when refilling the system you leave the rad cap off and run the motor to allow it to burb all the air out while continually topping it off, then set your res

It's still purging out air each time the engine heats up from cold. Then when the engine cools down its sucking in coolant from the reservoir to make up for the volum of air it burped out. After a couple of weeks it should burp out all the air.

Just make sure that the overflow tank is at the high level when the engine is hot, so it won't suck in more air when it cools back down.

It's actually self-burping...4-5 cold-hot-cold cycles should leave the cold fill level constant...I stick a piece of masking tape on the reservoir and mark hot and cold levels until it stabilizes.
