Hey everyone !
I've been a long time Toyota fan, but I've never owned a Cruiser

So please help a fellow Toyota fan get in the Cruiser world

I have my car for sale on other forums, but would also consider a trade is someone is interested in this.

The car : 1977 Celica liftback 5spd
California rust free car that I personally imported to Canada
Smiley bumpers
JDM fender mirrors
JDM rear center garnish
JDM replica chin spoiler
H4 conversion
Lowered on 15x8.5 0 offset Centerlines
20R runs great, everything works
Kenwood headunit with MTX amp, aftermarket speakers with tweeters and an 8in sub, sounds great for any type of music !

It's a really great and fun little car. I've always dreamed of owning a vintage Celica, and now I got one. But realising that I have too many summer cars and paying for winter storage for all these is silly.

So I'd like to trade it against a 80 series cruiser that I could drive all year long. In the summer to haul and tow stuff, and in the winter to be able to park anywhere on snowbanks =)

The cruiser would need to be in good condition because if I buy a car from outside Quebec, it needs to pass provincial inspection and they are very picky.

Asking price for my car is currently 8 000 CDN$ which is what the insurance appraiser told me it was worth.

More pics are available upon request if you are genuinely interested in this.

If someone wants to buy the car, I'm negociable on price. Cash always talks, but I'd prefer a trade with someone here, since you all have cruisers :D.

Thanks for the interest,
Nick

And for those who can't read between the lines, I'm located in Montreal, Quebec and willing to do some driving or work out a shipping deal (I've imported and exported cars to/from Canada/US more than once).

The car runs great, looks fantastic. In awesome condition considering its age.

It could need weatherstripping and the interior is what you could expect from a californian interior from 1977.

It's pretty much a turnkey weekend warrior.
Or could be a great track project car.

LCengineering has some cool products for these 20r engines like side draft carbs, headers, etc.
Suspension and brakes is pretty much the same as an AE86 so you could put those coilovers on.
There's also a way to put FC3S and Minicooper brakes on these cars, lots of tech info out there.

Have a great day !

I forgot : concerning a trade against an 80, I would PREFER if the cruiser is more than 15 years old since 15year and older cars are easier to import to Canada.

Lockers would certainly be a plus, but I'll gladly settle for a nice rig with open diffs too

Man oh man that is a nice car....my 80 is probably a little "worn" although I just passed inspection a few months ago....I would guess mine to be worth more like 4k.
Cheers

and this Celica is now SOLD !
thanks for the interest

and on the next episode, starring clouter : wtb-fj80-with-lockers

=)
