The instinct in me told me it's not a big deal, but my thoughts were bombarded by different doomsday scenarios...

My problem, I think, went away today when I topped off with 3/4 qt of oil. There's another thread in this forum, with landtoy80 suggesting to check and clean the oil sensor float. BTW, the oil pressure gauge in the dashboard gave me good readings, so I thought the oil level was fine.

I think I would need to drive that truck for about 10 years to rule out any mechanical issues.
