I don't know about again I'm trying to keep the block in if I can. But blew the head gasket thanksgiving week. That's leading to many upgrades I've been planning for a while to handle twins. Was hoping to put it off till next winter but here we are.

I bet we can make a bracket for something like this.
 
Those Bimba cylinders look like they would work. as long as it has more than your 10mm of travel i think we can make that work. make a mounting plate that attaches just like the diaphragm using the pass through bolt. if you find one with the same thread it makes life easier. id say anything above a 1.5" bore and you should be good. its just a matter of air pressure high pressure smaller bore lower air pressure larger bore. longer stroke can be fixed with internal bushings to limit travel.


based on what you said on very little input force to move it smaller might work but i'd like to leave room to add a spring just in case the extra drag keeps it from unlocking.
