I have a few cans of POR15 Chasis cote in my garage that are unopened. Is it safe to use over fresh zero rust? paint is over 3 years old in a dark garage.
Thanks
Tom

I stuck mine in a deep freeze in hopes of keeping longer

I can't comment on the POR-15, but the ZeroRust can get finicky whn you top coat it. Watch for anything w/ acetone in it, especially. I recall that one for sure, but there could be other bad ones to watch for.
(please forgive if it's old news, Just didn't want all your hard labor to wrinkle up on ya.)

I've learned over the years to only order POR-15 just prior to projects - the shelf life sucks - within four to six months it is going to be impossible to spray and by ten to twelve months it is halfway cured in the can. I have heard about the freezer trick but the wifey would go ballistic and it is just not worth the worry. Again, I've learned to only order the stuff at the last little minute. HTH.
