Looking for referrals to refinish my pool. Any recommendations?

If you get a good price let me know and maybe we can get a two for discount:-D

Tried, his box is full.

Any idea what this runs?

I also recommend Jim Mueller at CDC Pools. I am their outsourced Network Administrator and have spent the last 3 years watching them work. Jim is very honest, he wont sell you what you dont need and CDC Pools will give you the best price and stand behind their work. I dont have Jim's direct number, but you can call 480-539-7700 (main number) and they can put you in touch with Jim or you can email him at jim@cdcpools.com. You can tell him I (Michael Kaplan) sent you, but I dont know if that will help you or jack the price up. :-P

I may need to resurface my old house if it sells. One thing to research is if your city uses certain months of the year to base the sewage fees. Since cities figure a lot of water is lost to pools and irrigation in the summer months and this water won't need to be treated they base the sewage fees during months that this won't be a high. Seems these months in Phoenix were earlier in the year. Not sure if all cities do this but I believe some do.

Sorry...been off mud for a vit, Jim Mullar 480-343-0165 direct cell #. The reason I only reccomend them is due to the warranty..in these days the surfacing companies come and go quickly, CDC has been around for decades, and the owner is straight up and honest. I just had a client that had a negative edge tile job done over 2 years ago...CDC came back and redid about 400SF of tile at no cost when a grout line expansion cracked...thats customer service!

As with anything, it all depends on what you need, I.E. Water features, pebbletech, pebble sheen, gunnite composite, natural stone, cut glass inlay, old school plaster (not reccomended). You cna actually go to CDC and shop there outdoor samples surfacing options..they have them all built into a little outdoor pool to see in the water and touch.

I have a guy that a friend uses. It's not a company, but it's a guy who hooks you up with the Mexicans that do it on the side after they do it for the companies. Anyway, supposed to be way cheaper. I'll keep you posted.

A) Make sure they are insured...this is a massive project including removal of fences, etc. for equip. as neccesary.

B) Make sure they are licensed, without a license, you have no recourse, and quality standards / final inspection, etc.

Just my .02. You will be living with the result for years, warranty and recourse is important.

C) If you hire non licensed people you assume ALL responsibility if one get injured at your house.

Yeah. We're in an offroad forum... so I was thinking about taking the risk. It is something I'll think about though. It's so stupid how someone can get injured at your house and sue you even if it's their fault. Whatever. I've had good luck with Mexicans so far.
I hired a kid for $8 an hour and he worked hard. If anyone is looking for cheap labor, this kid has a good work ethic. Saving for a car though, so he doesn't drive.

Stay away from CDC Pools. They did mine and did a Crappy job, And the salesman totally lied about the time it would take to get it done. NEVER AGAIN !!!!! You've been warned. Good Luck.

I'm not a pool contractor, but everybody has a bad job once in a while.

I also have kids (2 actually) with good work ethics and will work for $8/hr in North Phoenix. They are my US citizen sons and are also saving for a car.

What area of town and do you deliver?
