So do you own a Land Cruiser or an LX470?

Specifically talking about 100 series Land Cruiser and the LX470, second gen LX.

Im trying to determine if one model is more represented in here. If you have both, you kinda cancel it out, so you don't count. :flipoff2:

Both

LX, one.

And the point of the poll??

It seems like I see more mention of the LX470 in this forum than I do the LC. Just wondering about the ratio of LC to LX owners, thus, the poll.

I know around here, the ratio of LX's to LC's is about 10:1 because if people had the money to buy the LC new, they would rather pay a little more and get the LX and have the whole Lexus experience when it came time to get it serviced. They wanted the whole treatment that the luxury dealership provides and not that of the plain jane Toyota dealership. That continues with the 200-series in my city.

When I looked for my first 100-series (used), I gave up and got the LX even though I wanted the LC. Found the LC later, and had to drive to Oklahoma to get it.

I've got a LX, but would have preferred a LC. But they are simply not available up north.

No "Lexus Experience" here, Land Cruiser all the way.

Lexus sold about 50% more of the 100 series than Toyota did which is why they're easier to find.

So 60% of the 100s sold in the US are LXs? Can you point me to where you got that figure?

I have had a LC for two years, and just bought the wife a LX. The LX is hands down a better driving, more comfortable, better appointed vehicle...but comparing mine is apples and oranges. The LC is a 1998 with lift, bumpers, sliders, 33's, etc, and drives like a truck and rattles and bangs and clunks and I absolutely love it. The LX is the smoothest car I have ever driven, even better than my 2004 RR HSE. It is perfect for the wife and will be amazing on road trips. That being said, if I could have found a 2005 LC that was in the same condition as my 2005 LX, I would have preferred it due to the subtle styles of the hood/grill and wheels.

TWO!
We have two 1998 LC's, both are River Rock Mica Green, both with rear E locker. My wife's LC has the gray interior and mine has the tan/brown interior.
Okay, so I know you must be asking "Why the redundancy??" (or something to that nature).
Answer: We bought my wife's in 2000 and we loved it so much that when I rolled (totaled) my F350 CrewCab expedition truck in 2006, I wanted something to fit on trails better. I happen to find mine for a really good price with the rear E locker and just happened to be the same color (exterior), which I really like anyways. I just can't stand grey interiors.

The 100 series are the largest vehicle out their that can still go on most every Jeep trail out there as far a width and length go, and it will do it without breaking down and in a heck of a lot more comfort!

LX.. Love both and wouldn't care which I had gotten considering availability but I think nothing looks cooler than a trail prepped LX.. Just personal preference really..

I have two LX's...I like the front better and the included standard features in the 2000 and 2001 years sold me over the same year LC's. Interior is way better and the AHC for standard driving is super nice. One will remain with the stock suspension and one is morphing into a lifted, rugged road travel rig.

Just got an LC. I had almost given up searching for one and was concentrating on the LX because of availability. LC was my first choice. I would never had heard the end of the pink panty/ yuppie comments from friends and family. :censor: The bottom line is I would have purchased either one and I'm just happy to be able to finally find a clean low mileage truck.

if it's not a UZJ100 it aint a Cruiser. Got to have that "J" in the model number. ARACO baby.
