Thanks hoser. Man, now I feel worse about letting a single owner 2007 lc pass me by recently.... Asking price was under 20k and it was just before the second timing belt change.

I have owned three Land Cruisers and love them. I now own three Lexii....and love them.

That just gave my brain a syntax error. Is it just me or do those Lex badges look a little out of place as if someone put them there after the fact?

I couldn't find sales numbers before that, and didn't put the numbers into a spreadsheet but you can see why there are more LX 100 series than LC's in the USA.

Excellent work my friend, thats what I was wondering.

if it's not a UZJ100 it aint a Cruiser. Got to have that "J" in the model number. ARACO baby.

Oh snap!:hmm:

And the Cruisers take the lead!

Got the LC. On the 100 series, either are nice. On a 200, I would prefer another LC over the LX.

LX here, although I just converted to standard spring and shock suspension, so it feels more like a LC now. Either way, all 100 series are amazing trucks..

They are great either way. But all else being equal, why would someone prefer a LC over an LX? Used Land cruisers are much more likely to have been off road than LXs. And everything else about an LX is the same or better. The only argument might be if someone hates AHC, but I think it's great. I Have had three LX470s (and an LX 450 that didn't have it), and never had a single problem with the AHC.

I have an LC. It is my daily driver to work ...I am the electrician for a property management.... a individual with way to much real estate. So all the tools that I don't want stolen if my store room is broken into live in the back. 2nd I have a farm. The first time I drove it to the farm I promptly drove it around on wet grass and gulleys. And through springs until I got it stuck. Would have felt bad about getting as nice of a vehicle as the lx. Full of tool dirt and potentially scratched . Also... property owner used to have an lx and got rid of it because he got tired of feeding it. I think it would have hurt his pride to see me park an lx next to his gmc. Terrain. (He has 3 benzs, the terrain and a Chrysler 300 and a Mazda mp9. Are his not trying to look rich cars.) He did try to convince me that the terrain was a ml350. And he did buy his son in law partner a rather new Ford Explorer awd. After he got his jeep Cherokee stuck this past winter.

Why is that?

I like the looks of the wheels and backend on the LCs, as compared to the LX in the 200 series family. The LX badging does not break up that wide expanse of metal and makes it look funny to me. Just a preference.

Oh, and the price adder on the LX would eliminate it for me too. Not enough added stuff for the buck difference.

Now that I completely agree with. I wish THEROK would have said his preference, cause I must be missing something in the video.

LX.

I prefer the LC simply because it's more understated than the LX. Most people will never notice it unless they are into Cruisers.

FYI, pricing strategy has changed on the 2014's. LC200 base is $79k vs LX570 at $82k. The difference is the LC has no available options. The LX has option packages. Some of the options are standard on the LC. Some of the options are unavailable on the LC.

Personally, I'll take either name brand and choose based on the vehicle alone. After all, the JDM Land Cruiser Cygnus is indeed an LX470 with LC badging. If they called it a Cygnus here, I'd probably choose the Cygnus. There are a lot of small, unadvertised differences between the LC100 and LX470 (i.e. cabin filters and all auto windows). It's not till you start taking things apart will you know. I'm sure the same goes for the LC200 and LX570.
