So we made it back to Ohio but our trip to visit my sister in-law got me and the wife talking. We really like Austin. I am a plumber. Anyone know what the construction market is like down there? Do plumbers make decent money? I have my master license in Ohio. I would get my Texas master so eventually (couple years) I would try to start my own thing.

Talk to SeaKnight (Lee). His brother-in-law is in the plumbing biz and can probably give you an idea how the market looks here in Austin.

From a Realtor's point a view - the housing market is up here. My Plumer is Chris Miranda greater austin plumbing@hotmail.com. He is a cruiser head, and has done several large projects for me over the years. He stays buzzy. Shoot him a e-mail.

Dennis Guthrie. He's the CEO. His father-in-law owns the business. It's a large state wide company. I don't know it they're hiring but Dennis would know about the Austin job market.

Just what you need, a drunk plumber :)

I wonder how many folks decide to relocate here after SXSW?

They have no clue what they are in store for from May - October weather-wise.

Sxsw was nice but too much for me. The summer weather sucks I know. I have been around that area during the summer. It was more the atmosphere of the city.
