Also on level ground in low mode my damping is working properly on the front but the rear is locked out, but if I stand on the trailer hitch and go from n to L at the same time the damping works properly front and rear until I get off of the truck then the rear locks out again...so putting ehh 230 lbs (104 kg) on the hitch is the difference between the system functioning and the system locking out the dampers, ill work on it more tomorrow
The system is not supposed to have any damping in Low mode. It's made to be smooth at N, stiffer at Hi, and nothing at Lo. And that's why it doesn't let you drive in Lo, but goes up to N as soon as you start driving.

does your AHC do this?

Drove about 40 miles in the city today neutral is smooth as silk damping feels great and ride quality is as good as it has ever been these are my current pressures... I'm going to put the roof box back on and a spare tire in back to simulate the rear seats being installed and see how it feels tomorrow if it is still good I'm going to install the rear airbags and leave them completely open to the atmosphere and see if they affect ride quality with no pressure in them, on level ground the rear axle currently locks out in low mode which is definitely not normal but normal and high mode are working properly so I'm guessing after 20 years I should just expect to not work 100%

These are my readings with the roof box and bike rack installed....I did N-L-N twice and drove around the black and got the same reading all 3 times...the box and rack are about 55 lb individually I am completely confused as to why the pressure went down but the ride is very slightly smoother and it still locks out in L mode... it seems to be working just fine otherwise but it is hard to trust it with any long-distance drives or off road trips not knowing why it stopped or why it started working again

Been driving the lx alot, real harsh on small bumps but awesome on big stuff...got a wild hair and dropped the rear to a 19.5 inch hub to fender, dropped rear pressure by about 0.5 MPa, adjusted the front to a 19 inch hub to fender and adjusted the TB's till pressure was much lower...ride is butter, way better small bumps are smooth and big bumps are even better.

would like to get big a*% spacers for the rear springs, like 60mm or bigger, i wanna keep the ride quality but increase the height

Made some changes, empty fuel tank, no seats no spare, set front height to 20.25 inches and rear 20.5, pressures are ok, ride is very smooth, any lower ride height and the rear end ahc stops working, any added weight and the ride gets better. Will update

Hi there,
I am having a similar issue but only when in H mode: L and N drive perfectly...but when going on H...the back gets really hard and it's like driving on sticks instead of bumpers :bang:.
Couple of months ago I added rear coil spacers (40mm) and it worked just fine even in H. Recently installed front spacers too and since then....issue appeared. I hadded front and rear spacer as I went for a sensor lift + added heavy rear and front bumpers + roof tent.
I am still in doubt that the pogo stick effect could be caused by some air in the AHC circuit (i.e. I had to disconnect the AHC circuit when installing the front spacers and flashed it afterwards but just at the front). But now...reading this thread...I feel the issue could be somehow related to carried weight?
Any hint would be much appreciated. Thanks
