1987 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60
143,444 miles. I drive it often, so the miles will go up some.
37 years old - can be registered as an antique.
White exterior, Brown interior
4-speed manual transmission
4WD works
AC works well, was updated to R134a, almost all new parts.
Carburetor was restored by Mark's Off-road in Burbank, CA a few years ago, but could use a tune-up now.
Some rust in a few places on the body panels. The frame and undercarriage are in good condition.
There a rust spot on the roof that does perforate through the roof. It does not stain the headliner, so it must be draining, but it should be fixed if going to store outside. There were rubber roof rack cushions that were coming unglued from the roof, and it was trapping water there. It was in Florida before I bought it.
There are bumps and dings on the body panels. Most significant is driver's side rear fender.
It wasn't running when I bought it. My asking price is taking a bit of a loss. I've got more than that into it, for sure. I hate to let it go. I've debated with myself for a couple years on whether to sell it. But it's probably time. I know I'll regret it later. It is awesome on those two snow/ice days we get every year or so here in Texas.
Too many parts and services to list here. I'll answer questions best I can. I am not a mechanic. All the work I had done to it was from the owner of Cruiser Head.
It can be driven as is. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it on a longer trip. It would be a solid vehicle to build up. Excellent foundation.
