Place to dump used oil in Atlanta

Between 4 Cruisers, 2 4runners, a Willys, a couple boats and fourwheelers, I have a hard time keeping my used oil 'collection' under control, probably got around 30 gallons right now.

We used to dump it at the county transfer station near my grandfathers house in Newton County, but we haven't been going out there nearly as frequently, so that is not such a great option anymore.

So, I really need a place somewhere around Atlanta that is not a "hassle" to dump oil. I know most parts stores will take it, but I bet they would frown on 30 gallons and they can be a pain to deal with having to fill out paperwork etc.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!


On an unrelated side note- Anyone know off the top of their head what the parts to do a 100 series timing belt run from Dan? (t-belt, waterpump, t-belt tensioners and cam seals)

The Big Chicken Napa has the container behind their store. No paperwork or hassle.

I thought those stores got paid for the oil? Why would they care if you dump one gallon or thirty?

most places do get paid for their "recycled" petroleum products, so I'd think any local shop would happily accept it.

AutoZone in Kennesaw accepts oil for recycling. I just assumed that all the AutoZones did.

FYI The one in Kennesaw used to have a 4 gallon limit per day and they recorded your name when you came in, but they have changed their processes (names are no longer recorded) so daily limits may have also changed.

I take it to Pep Boys because its close. You have to sign a list but Batman works for a name. Not sure about limits, I take 4 or 5 gallons at a time...

Post over at the Steel Soldiers site that have 30 gallons of free use motor oil. Won't be a day or so, you'll have deuce and a halfs, 5 tons and maybe even a couple tracked mil-vehicles in your driveway.

I'm serious, those guys will use it.
