Is the pitman arm and steering box keyed so the arm will slide back on ?
1982 F-40

It's splined, not keyed.

After a hell of time getting the arm off and 3 incorrect oil seal from 3 different sources, the arm is going back on just as hard has it came off. Any suggestion on getting the arm back on ?

The splines have a mark so you can easily put the arm back on correctly in the same spot. You should be able to get it on far enough to get the nut started if not try and clean up the splines. HTH

Toyota on the seal... Where are you? I have 2 extra...

I can get it on about half way, but no further, certainly not as far as it was when I took it off. I'm in Tampa Florida, I'll buy one on your spare seals.

The splines are tapered, so when you torque down that big nut on the end it will pull the arm on to the splines. Are you sure that the arm and shaft splines are indexed properly, that could be part of the problem.
