I think everyone will be surprised to know that a land speed record was attempted at Pismo Beach way back in 1931 !!! 245mph! Also, the first recorded "Dune Buggies" Came from this beach as well... Check it out for yourself!!!

Next Step to Figure Out is The Name Some people have proposed some names, post your idea up and after two weeks from today I will put all of them into a Poll for voting. Remember to be creative and think of ideas that reflect an expedition to the beach and or dunes. This isn't a continuation of the original event- but a completely new event. This is the way the previous event promoter wanted it for his event (a 10 year run).
