Yuppers... that Dude would be me:P I think CHP was waiting outside the gate for me to leave the park... I only made it 1000ft. I was pulled over for no mudflaps, was cited and given a fix it ticket. They said you need to cover the top 50% of the tire. Something tells me that the stock cruiser flaps wont cut it :P I'll be off to my local big rig shop to get some flaps to make the Nov 21st cutoff for inspection. :wrench:

Speaking of the event, It was great! As soon as I download my pics I'll add them to the thread, I led a tour of 20+ rigs through the dunes Saturday afternoon and my wife took great pics while I was driving. We also were able to make some great videos. This was the best Pismo event I've been to so far due to weather and the great mix of people. We met and hung out with a lot of old and new friends. I can't wait for next year all over again...

sorry to read that. Easy to fix though.
Curious, it looks like the tires are sticking out sideways from the fender quite a bit too, did they mention anything about that?

Here is one of my favorite on the sand, surf and sunset shots of my rig.

The tread falls below the edge of the flare, I am sure they took a close look at that, frame height, and bumper heights. When all that stuff was all in check, they moved on to the mud flaps. I ran some steel channel across and installed a pair of big rig flaps and was able to get signed off a couple days ago at my local police station.
I tried to be proactive about the ticket it since the fix it ticket processing fee was $50, and a full ticket would be $206. The difference in the ticket fees paid for adding the flaps so I hope I don't have that issue in the future.
