Has anyones installed them on 200’s? I have tried android based units and they seem to lack reliability. Any help or pointers would be helpful. Thanks.

Do you have a link to said units? I was not aware there was a true factory replacement for the 200. I have a 2019 and went with the NiftyCity CarPlay option. It has been fine and does everything it is supposed to 99% of the time. I would much rather prefer a true aftermarket drop in with upgraded screen.

I don’t, I was asking if anyone knows of any.

Bumping this up as I continue down the 200 rabbit hole. (I've not purchased yet but adding carplay is a must) I recently discovered units such as the Alpine Halo Series, Pioneer DMH-W, and Kenwood Excelon. Using online compatibility tools none of them say they are a direct fit for the 200 Series but I wonder if anyone out there has at least attempted and/or successfully installed one. Seems like something a custom audio shop could achieve but maybe not?

What gives me hope is this noted on Crutchfield.

IE there is a chance you could retain the AC/Heating controls as that seems to be the only real issue I can see with using an aftermarket head unit.

I’m going thru the same issue with my 2016 VX 200 series. Polaris make a great one for GX and GXL and are currently testing one for VX ( they advised me today ant Brisbane 4x4 show). Avoid the eBay specials, I’ve tried 2 and they were a big let down.

Old Alpine link was dead. Here's the new one. "Coming Soon". Note, Alpine Australia and external HVAC controls.

Someone bought the external hvac control and installed in an earlier U.S. 200. There is a thread somewhere on what all was required. Seems like it was a big process and not cheap.

If this works in a US 2020 i'm all over it.

Thanks for the tip, I’m going to wait the 6 weeks and see how Polaris go, their units that I’ve seen for 200 series non VX are great and about 40% of the Alpine units price. Keen to hear how you go with the Alpine if you do proceed.
