Nice swine build Bash! Hey the window regulator you gave me will work out perfect! It looks like a easy fix now, if I can just get time away from house, yard, and animal projects for a few hours. I know it has probably been about 6 months argh....

the Dynamat works but i am not convinced it is the best solution. certainly not the cheapest. i have about $300 in dynamat and more in closed cell foam behind the headliner. i would be curios to try Lizard Skin or something, but i have blown my sound-deadening budget. my next step is to 86 the flowmaster. that will definitely make the truck quieter, and i need to replace the pinch-weld seals at the door jams. that will help too.
if that isnt enough, i will try more sound deadener! (or earplugs!)

LOL thanks, this is my first 55 so I am excited. I come from working on all years of mustangs so this is all new to me. I'm not sure which deadening to go with, but it looks like Dynomat or Lizard Skin. Thanks for the input! The rig looks great.

I just put 100 sqft of QuiteCrap (www.CruiserCrap) in my Pig and the difference is amazing. It is a butyl product for ~$200/100 sqft and the vendor is a MUD sponsor. I haven't tried any other products but for the price I had to give this one a try. 100 sqft was enough to cover the entire floor, two layers on the tranny hump, underside of roof, inside of all 4 doors, rear quarters and underside of hood.

I love what you did with the front clip! That is the perfect idea to pull it and owder coat it - looks very clean!
I too like the 60 series PS for the 55. I used a 60 intermediate shaft and ujoints to finish my column.
What master sylinder are you using?
Can you provide details on the ranger? Was it in there when you got the Pig? I am wondering about details of the shift holes in the floor. Were you able to keep the stock holes with the V8 or were the holes already hacked?
Last question; where did you anchor those seatbelt attachments on the B-pillar?

Sorry it took me so long to answer.
I am using a 60 series master cylinder. I dont have rear discs yet so no need to upgrade to the 80 series quite yet.
The Ranger is really cool, and i found that they only made the electric shifter for a few years, due to problems they had with it. Mine wasnt working when i bought the truck, but it was already in there. Through my swap. I moved the parts around, so I had to weld up the old holes and cut new ones.
One tip here... rather than repainting the shifter levers, i bought some large heat-shrink. It looks great, conceals the wires for the OD switch and matches the shift boots.
I used 60 series shift boots and it finished out nice.
FOr the B-pillar mounting point, i inserted some threaded inserts int he roof to move them 6" back. they are okay, but the pivot is too high and i need to make some extensions to move the part 6" lower. right now the shoulder strap rides on my neck and it is irritating. its my wifes truck and she is 12" shorter than me, so with her seat pushed up it is okay for her.

I noticed you're using the 60 series m/c and booster...It looks like you're using the original factory disk/drum proportioning valve in the rear circuit. Is That so? If so, how do you like the way it works. I have the 60 M/C and booster and the 60 f/r proportioning valve AND the factory disk/ drum pig valve. I am just not sure which valve to use w/ the M/C... TIA

Hey Crusher,
The brake setup i have works great. I havent done anything special, just the 60 MC when the 55 one went out. the truck is a 76, so the proportioning valve was made for discs anyway.
