All this talk and nobody has a picture of their setup? I want to do this on mine someday soon because i'm too cheap to buy all the new parts for my drum on my 40.

If I order a line-lock, what size fittings should it have on it so that I can just reflare SAE lines with a metric fitting on one end to connect to my system? I know I'll want 3/16" line to work with my M10 fittings but what size SAE fitting does that work out to?

Mine goes 1/4" npt to 1/8" npt then I had some 1/8" npt to sae brake line fittings so those are on there then I reflared the lines and put sae fittings at just that spot on the line. I got the 1/8" npt to sae brake line fittings with a jamar line lock I bought but didn't use because I heard that many people have problems with them not unlocking.

Electric Biondo line locks, one for each rear wheel. Out of the cab, little in the way of additional plumbing. As an added bonus, you get redneck cutting brakes:flipoff2:

oh, and just for the complete idiot check (me), you have to be running a rear selectable locker to use the left/right linelock setup, correct?

I have one hooked up to the rear line. Dont know about illegal, but I would imagine if you kept your original e-brake there should not be a problem. As long as the primary e-brake is factory. Will post a couple pics 2morrow.
And on the plus side, nobody has known what it is anyway. They always ask, "whats that for"...

My intent was to do away with the factory e-brake when I go to rear discs.

Anyone know of a mechanically actuated, REMOTE line-lock? I'm thinking about something that could be mounted on the framerail, in with the brakelines, and actuated by the stock e-brake cable.

The problem with line locks is that they will eventually bleed off. The one I use is used on forklifts. It comes with a pressure switch that is hooked to the horn, when the pressure bleeds off, the horn starts. I didnt hook that up, but you get the point. I think its always better to at least have a mechanical e-brake, maybe dont use it, but have it there just in case.

thru the firewall and side view of valve with bleeder valve.
Hope this helps. any ????, let me know.

Cool Valve, what year forklift did it come off of.:flipoff2:

I have no:flipoff2: idea.

But if you go to any rental/dealer, they would probably have the answer. It aint that hard. Its a great product, has worked well for about 8 years with no problems.
Hopefully this helped....
Take care

My ball valve line lock. It is a SS Swagelok ball valve. No regrets at all. I just step on the brakes and turn it to hold the cruiser. Simple.

thats what this one is. I didnt feel like taking it off and finding the brand. This long term/short term memory loss thing is getting quite interesting. Thanks for the info. I probably should write it down someplace.

I had the box laying around for along time, but cant find it now....
