The T slots in the rear bar are for a high lift jack. And yes, it has the long range tank aux tank fitted. did Kaymar tell you about the waiting list???? That rear bar and tyre carrier option has proved very popular here in australia, we've had some on order for nearly 3 months now.

Uh oh, you guys better get in line now!!! I wanna see more sexy asses on LC200's!!

Here are some comments that were made on another forum in Austrailia on the differences between the ARB and the Kaymar:

a)the Kaymar arms are removable
b)the ARB is about 40mm lower from memory ( worse departure angle than the plastic bumber)
c)Lots of people report issues with ARB inc cloging with dirt and some breaking
d)the ARB prototype I saw 6 months ago had only one Jerry can holder and the top of it hit the top door.

Some food for thought....

Hmmm interesting things.....I see pre-orders in my future

One thing I am considering is getting either the Kaymar or ARB rear bumper, but not doing the tires or cans just yet.

My reason? I don't like the look! I know this truck is not a show truck, and I do wheel it, but I just don't particularly like the look of a big ass tire on the rear. Anyone else share this opinion? Will I get over it? I don't like having to move the license plate, block the "LandCruiser" embossed logo, block a portion of the rear window, have an even longer vehicle in the rear due to the tire, have to open both every time you want to get something out of the back, etc, etc...

...but I don't want to keep it under the vehicle either as that is the lowest point for the departure angle and it does get struck. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place (literally)!

Just what do you do with the space underneath if you remove the tire? From my understanding, you cannot add an auxiliary gas tank due to laws and regulations, not to mention the CO2 canister that's in the way supposedly. How about a water tank only? If I were to remove the spare from under there, I think I would want to utilize the space with something...

What are your guys' plans? List exactly what you are going to do...

I was going to go with the Kaymar, just bumper, for starters. I agree with you, I don't much care for the tire on the back, but it is useless underneath.

If I could get an auxilary tank, I would then opt for the Kaymar arms and move the spare to the back.

I think this is one that you may want to hold off on, and see what comes out, and what challenges and experiences others ...cough(DTT)cough... have. It also depends upon the purpose of the rig. Right now mine is a daily driver and wheeler, for that reason I will keep the spare underneath. I could see me getting something else in a few years and it turns into a road tripper / wheeler. If that happens, I will be willing to move the spare to the back.

What I do like is that both Kaymar and ARB make 2 versions each: One is compatible with tire/can mods while the other is not. However, even the one WITH the mods as options, there are blanks if you choose not to install either.

What I'd like to know is how difficult a process it would be to purchase the one WITH the options is but without getting any options at this point, and later moving the tire.

I need a bumper soon!

...

I'm with you. I like the looks of the Kaymar but it does not seem as solid. And the price....$3700 plus $200 freight for the bar, double Jerry and tire carrier- yikes. I went with the ARB bar. Should be on next week.

I like the looks of the ARB but I have a Kaymar on my Land Rover LR3 and like it's simple design. I find I'm drawn to the nice latching of the ARB however I also now realize my very simple Kaymar latch and pivot is possibly more long term rugged and serviceable or at least easier to modify or rebuild.

One question, you say above the ARB is in the way of the upper hatch opening? My LR3 upper hatch JUST barely clears my jerry can which is nice to only require opening 1 arm/carrier to access the cargo area. Although, if opening 1, it's not much to also open the 2nd arm if the hatch wouldn't clear.

I'm actually more curios to see if towing an Airstream is easier with either brand as I recall the LP tank box on the tongue were close to being hit on sharp turning with my spare tire. I have since realized that it should be no big deal to relocate the LP tanks and get short hitch jack installed VS re-modifying the rear end of a vehicle.

However, if modifying the vehicle to make better towing clearances, one would also by default probably increase their departure angles when not towing.

Anyway, the Kaymar for LC 200 also looks like it integrates better with the body panels.

Well, of course 2 tires would cover the factory lights being that it would be at least 66" wide.

That's why it's nice the Kaymar has two fully functioning led lamps in the bumper itself. I don't think you really need 2 spares though. The means to fix a tire would be good on top of 1 spare though.
