I'm planning my pick and pull list for my 40 build up and don't know where a few good junk yards are in the FT. Worth area. Anyone have any suggestions on where I should go to get some parts?

While I'm at it, anyone here have a mini truck axle they want to sell? I'm about to do my brake swap and need to get one.

Thanks,
nick

Pick-n-pull is in Grand Prairie. I've been there a few times. I like it because it's organized and the lot is gravel so you're not digging around in the mud. If you watch their website, they occasionally have 1/2 price days.

I've gone to Pick-N-Pull's Dallas location and it is fairly organized and mostly gravel (there are areas that are giant mudholes though). Take a vehicle no one will be interested in pulling from... there was a lot of folks 'hanging out' in the parking lot which led me to believe the 'pick-n-pull' action applied inside and outside of the gates. I have had no issues though, just a little unnerving to leave a vehicle around a bunch of folks with an arsenal of tools...

Good luck!

Thanks for the info and link. I didn't know that "pick n pull" was the actual name of a junk yard. Found one in Ft. Worth off airport frwy, right on my way home.

Thanks again.

what are ya looking for? I assume it was the ones over off of elliot reeder road? there are a couple of yards down over there but in my experience they arnt very good. I have had great luck with em a couple of times for other vehicles that weren't my land cruiser... but again it depends on what you are looking for.

I am looking for some small parts for my TBI conversion (sensors) and would like to find a mini truck axle so I can convert the front of my 40 to disc brakes.
