I'm about to reinstall the cladding on my LX450 and am aware that there are two different types of clips that are used.

Since nearly every clip broke during removal, I failed to notice which of the clips were the (impossible to remove) squarish 1-piece clips or the 2-piece (easier to remove) clips.

Impossible to Remove (1) Piece: 90467-11103

Easy to Remove (2) Pieces: 90467-09077 (panel side), 90249-06132 (cladding side)

If anyone has removed their cladding and took photos of which clips were located where... I would appreciate it.

Go to www.partsouq.com plug in your VIN and look up the clips and body cladding. It's possible that they MAY show the location of the different clips by part number. I use their site for reference all the time.

If you look at the cladding some will have a hole & some will have slot like to slide it in horizontally.

Thanks I will take a second look. IIRC they all have slots but I will confirm.

Ok so they do all have slots however the slots for the impossible clips have a small indentation that is meant to capture the end of the impossible clip. Really hard to see in the photo but there is a small indentation on the underside in the shape of a half moon...

The slots for the easy clips lacks the indentation.

For anyone about to take on the task of reinstalling the Lexus cladding, start from the front of the truck and not the rear. Its not impossible to do it backwards but it will definitely be a little easier starting from the front because there are some pieces that must be slipped under the other before clipping them in.

I wish I had time to take more photos but I was getting ready to rain. There are definitely at least one more type of clip that is missing from the original post. I bought 50 of each of the three clips in the original post and it was barley enough to finish. I say buy 75 of each and keep the rest for spares. If I get time to find the part number of the one I’m missing I’ll post it. I couldn’t be bothered to look at the parts diagram as it was a waste of time for me personally.
note that the front driver fender pieces are not
