Been pondering on how to safely get my older dobergirl in & outta the rig now that it's lifted. started this thread to quit hijacking on another thread, and the jet-pack idea has many complications (like 'how do you turn it off if the dog accidently activates it?
).
I don't wanna pay Petsmurf a ton o monies for something I can fab myself, and ideally it would mount somewhere out of the way and/or serve a 2nd purpose.
Right now my brain is leaning towards an expanding ramp (as opposed to folding) that could serve as a rear barrier when the liftgate is open. (myBella thinks that if she can see the ground it's okay to dismount :whoops
Also wondering if one could fab up a strap-mount using the vent louvers in the rear.
Any of you w/cruisin canines got some ideas to share?
