Anyone know a source for the Travall Pet Barrier. All I can find do not include barriers for what Travall calls the 2003 Amazon.

I have just checked travall.us, doesn't looks like they have a pet barrier for this particular model

Corbet, what's the main difference between your pet barriers and Travall's ?

This is the first time I have seen the Travall product. After watching the video and looking over the site this is the best I can answer your question:

The Travall appears to use a wedge system like a universal mount but they have taken it one step further and designed barriers specific to each vehicle model. Then crash tested the product. That is great. They also indicate they have designed around side impact air bags when equipped.

The main difference between the Travall and the Speski is that mine bolts in. I can only assume that mine will offer a better mount over the long term and rough terrain. The wedge system as I see it, relays on force applied to the plastic trim around the windows. The Speski barrier uses existing captured nuts so there is no vehicle modification needed or damage from the mounting process.

Overall construction/materials looks pretty similar between theirs and mine. Probably a wash there. Mine is made in the USA if you care about that kind of thing. I have no clue where that one is made. You can make your own assumptions.

After using the Travall vehicle search list, the only LandCruiser options given were 2002-2006. As it was a British site I'm going to assume that correlates with 03-07 in North America. They do not list a barrier available? http://www.travall.us/toyota-c2751/...315/2002-2006-c8316/land-cruiser-amazon-c8317

If you have found a barrier for the LC please post up a link. I'm interested in seeing it.

You have not indicated what year Cruiser you are trying to fit? So I don't know if I offer a solution for you either? Mine stop at 2002 as the later 100's have side impact air bags.

Please let me know if you have any questions :)

Bump (hopefully this is the best one to bump).

Wife and I are figuring out options. I can't find good info about some of the less expensive options. The weathertech and Midwest metal ones all seem to work on pressure. What's are people's experience with the effects to the headliners? Are there work arounds? We sometimes put a 5' 10 year old kid in the jump seat with the dog. How much legroom is lost? Currently, the bungied childs gate looks like a great idea as I have all that sitting around in the garage.

With the fancier versions, are they pretty easy to remove with a simple socket wrench?

Cheers

Made in the USA ► your kids future depend on it

Well if you choose my product please don't put your child behind it with the dog. The result of a head on accident would be less than desirable.

Mine is removed with a 5mm hex wrench. No damage to headliner. If you fold down the middle row seats objects may be passed below it.

Honestly you get what you pay for. I personally don't have any patience for substandard dog barriers. But I have a large dog. He is really like a four legged teenager.

^^thanks for the input. That's a good point about kid and dog together in the back area. Our dog is 90+ lbs. I suppose I could tie the dog down so he does not fly all over the place. I'm not sure how effective that'd be....

I have the Speski in my 80 series, BEST Pet barrier period! We have GSP's so we transport them frequently. Now I just need to get one for the 100 series we have...
