PEI now to "limit" RHD

It strikes me that we should be copying the minister for tourism, Robert Vessey. He's the guy who spent a million bucks getting Regis to do his show in PEI for a week to promo the province. He's new to the job and I'll bet any loss in tourism is gonna get his attention.

Hmmm infighting within a government.....na never happen :grinpimp:

excellent idea Bruce...
LESS than 30 RHD vs loss of revenue from tourism...

i wonder who would win that debate.

new slogan thought up by one of my customers:

"Al-CADA are consumer terrorists"

Why stop there, there must be some tourism boards in PEI that could be contacted as well, maybe the potato council or something as well - I'm done with PEI taters if they do this.

Do you think I'll be hassled at the boarder as a U.S. citizen driving my RHD BJ42 into Quebec? I'm planning to head to Quebec City in mid July for a weekend.

I doubt it. They want your money and the new car dealers want ours!!

It's got NOTHING to do with safety and EVERYTHING to do with dealer profits.

As Wayne said, no problem. I can even bring in a new RHD Jeep (made in the USA) with very little hassle. The issue is the perception that grey market imports, mainly Japanese, are hurting their market in Canada. Its a false perception but they got to blame someone other then themselves for their lousy sales.

Makes sense to start with the smallest province (after the Qc ban) and build from there. Good strategy from the motor dealers. Basterds.
