I am finally in the market for a LC for my wife's DD. As this will just be a kid carrier for now, looking for it to be as stock as possible. Looking for a 200 series Amazon Green. I have about 2 months before I really need to pull the trigger on something so if anyone sees anything interesting, please let me know. I missed my chance on one that sold recently in SC...I think it sold in a matter of hours...Although I have a feeling most Amazon Green LCs will sell that quickly...

Yea it is going to be tough to snag one. They disappear immediately. I've been searching for any rust free 200, of any color other than gold and red, but they get snatched up inside 24 hours. The Green, the way I understand it, is the absolute hardest to find. You almost need to see one on the road and flag him down to make an offer.

@KAScruiser

I saw that Amazon Green '08 on CL too. It was gone in a flash. Relatively low mileage and it had Duratracs installed. That was a good deal. Any info regarding the original list price - now it's marked SOLD.

The LC in question:

When I get into a 200 one day, and I will, I will be after the Amazon Green as well. Just FYI there was one for sale in College Station Tx awhile back on craigslist, Im sure its long gone but I do remember looking into it. Im always all over Texas, from San Antonio to DFW, I never see many LC's and I have never seen a Amazon Green 200 one in person.

How many did they even sell in this color, maybe 1%?

gotta assume % of those are gone in accidents. There might be 150 of them total

That's a good estimate IMO.

What's the fascination with that color? It looks OK but the charcoal and white look better imo.

It does have a carseat installed in one of the pictures...haha. I can just see my wife loading up the kids in her...hahaha. Besides, Fat Amy needs to be driven and taken OR...not casual drives to Trader Joes to get Pita Bites or Costco to stock up on diapers...

She does kinda make me want to sell my Tundra.................

I don’t get the green either haha

I think it's due to the rarity and it does look stellar in person. I had a '06 Rubicon that was Jeep Green (very similar paint code). It really popped in the sun.

I normally don't care for green, other than green grass. But a oilman in my office building bought a 2008 Green LC brand new and I drooled over it every day on the way to my car for about 4 years. It's just something about the color with the lines of the car I suppose, but it is stunning to many people.

I would go up to his office about twice a year and tell him "when you're ready to trade, let me know, I want your green LC." Well, he never would trade. So I started searching for one myself. It took several years to find one that suited me. Who knows, I may have it until the day I die. Mine just turned 100K.

If it so much as gets a scratch, it's at the body shop. I know painting a car hurts resale, but I have to keep the thing looking new all the time and that requires a trip or two to the body shop a year. I quite literally can't sleep well at night if it has an abrasion. They always match it to perfection and it looks brand new all the time.

I'm not modifying it whatsoever. It's 100% stock.
