OK guys,

My front passenger strut is leaking and my tie rod ends require replacing. Also, my valve cover is leaking and requiring replacement.

Here is my parts order list (thanks to supra88 for the valve cover gasket complete parts list)

Valve Cover gasket order list:

1. RTV sealant:
2. Spark Plug Tube Seal 11193-70010 x 8
3. Valve Cover Gasket Cylinder Head 11214-0S010 x 1
4. Valve Cover Gasket Cylinder Head 11213-0S010 x 1
5. Engine Valve Cover Gasket 11159-0P010 x 4
6. Gasket Camshaft Bearing Cap Oil Hole 11159-38010 x 2
7. Engine Valve Cover Gasket 90430-A0001 x 4

I also ordered a radiator cap.

Suspension refresh order list:

1. Lexuspartsnow Front Right and left strut 48510-69355 x 2 $412.58
2. Rockauto Beck/Arnley Inner/outer tie rods $109.16

Also added Dornan heater Ts

Does the parts order list check out?

I posted on a different thread but my understanding is that AHC has to be flushed if I replace the front struts? I just flushed mine about a month ago and wondered if I needed to repeat this step again (I hope not).

Thanks!

It looks like you have a LX? What year? That might help anyone with an LX and experience with those jobs to know if you need anything else.

Only concern I'd have as a semi parts snob is ITRE are $115/each from Partsouq, $233/each state side. To get both ITRE/OTRE for the same price has me somewhat worried for a part (ITRE) that generally should last more than 10 years.

Also, on your suspension the only question I would have is whether you want to replace the other components that are in the strut assembly beyond just the shock.

I saw a post somewhere suggesting that the 'new' fluid in the strut be filtered / replaced prior to use. It's been a while since I saw that post, it might have been in the 100 section.

Probably assume you'll need to reflush the AHC fluid (4 or 5 liters).

Maybe add the front spring spacer since you have the shock off already.

Not sure on your miles, but also consider new front springs for the same reason (shock already off).

I too did a full flush of the system prior to replacing the front struts during my front-end refresh. So all-in I used around 7/8 liters of fluid. IIRC it took 5 liters to pre-fill the front struts, then bleed the system after.

Just replaced the front struts, strut mounts, and end links. I haven't seen many talk about end links, but mine were showing wear. Here's the parts numbers for what was replaced on my front end:

48609-60080
Strut Mount
2
48810-60051
Stabilizer Link [End Link]
1
48820-60071

Next year I'll do accumulators, maybe we can get a group/bulk buy for Citroen globes? I was on the fence about the front spacers, as the front end ride was pretty tight already - but post refresh it's softened up a bit and I probably should've done them. Plan is to level with sensors at some point soon.

--edit

I do think the ride leaves a little bit to be desired in overall smoothness, I'll have to pull up my alignment and compare with the specs from @milellie111 thread here. It tracks straight and is plenty plush, but there's a tiny bit of shake. Might need to rebalance the new tires, we'll see.

Hey @grinchy.....front spring spacer is that part # 43136-60020?

Thanks!

@chalice any reason why you replaced your strut mount? Did it have any signs of wear?

The PO left the front pass strut leaking for awhile and I noticed the endlink was showing a little wear, so I decided to go for it. I do wish I did the spacers, sensor lift alone added some float to the front end.
