Bumping this back up for the 2011 Dakar in prep. for South America.

Some recent pics of the Toyota Auto Body team in training in North Africa. Looks like some team personnel changes as well as a couple 100 series rigs being used for training and proving runs.

2 Toyota mechanics heading a team of French LC mechanics.

Classic!

Cheers.

Nice post Onur! Not to start a bon-fire...oh well I guess I will (you have to read the LC thread on EP to know what the heck I'm talking about here) :D...but those sure look like 255/85 16" on the Toyota 100 race truck. What could they possibly know eh?!

Still want those wheels. I thought the max tire size allowed was 235/85 r 16. Also, the 200 in the PD this year had KM2s and the 100 has the original MT. I wonder if the drivers could tell any difference while training just based on traction. We need to get one of the drivers on here to give us the scope.

Some of the pictures I took last year at the Dakar. I didn't get a chance to talk to the Japanese guys, they were very busy working on the truck.

WOW.....they did quite a bit of work on the front suspension.......no wonder they always win

wonder how hard it would be to import that to the U.S? Is there regulations on rally cars with emissions or motor types? I don't see why there would be but who knows :meh:

Wonder how long it would take to get pulled over in that? :hhmm:
