I guess every part timer is getting the boot at my store. I've been screwed over a few times by my job, so it doesn't surprise me.

He's not related to anyone either.... just a 36 year old guy that lives at home still. I was talking to my boss about it yesterday, and he said that it doesn't matter what anyone at the store thinks, it's up to human resources as to whether or not the guy gets fired. He said they need a long "paper trail" of why they want to get rid of him. He's gotten away with sexual harassment with a few of the girls, but that was never documented....:rolleyes:

Often times, the s***tiest employees get the biggest breaks.
There was this HORRIBLE tech that worked in the OR that FINALLY got fired 6 mos ago. She REFUSED to work with certain individuals/ surgeons, she constantly threw temper tantrums when called in, or assigned to cases she didnt like...it was so bad that people were beginning to think that she had "something" on someone that allowed her to keep her job.
People were HAPPY when she was canned. She had burned her bridges at EVERY hospital and surgery center in town sooo badly that she was UN ABLE to find work and had to move...Last I heard she was in Nebraska living at home with her parents.

Thanks Keith! A friend of mine is going to talk to his boss for me, and I'm going to fill out an application first thing monday morning. The job is in the same field I'm trying to get into, and it pays over 2x as much as my current job does. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Based on my experience working in the field you are trying to get degreed in while in school is one of the best things you can do to assure a good chance of getting a job when you graduate.

X2 on what field you want to get into. You never know where you might find some help.
 
Criminal Justice. I'm going to the Jans Evans Juvenile Justice Center in the morning to apply. Hopefully they'll have an opening for me. :hhmm:

Good luck, that will be good to get your foot in the door. I've dropped a few "guests" off there and a lot more when it was down on Mill St and was called Wittenburg Hall.

Thanks fellas! Filled out the app. this morning, so I guess it's just a matter of waiting now. A friend of mine works down there and he said he wass going to talk to his boss for me, hopefully that will help.


If I get this job, then i should be able to go on this trip no problem:steer:

But seriously, hang in there and go for want you want and don't give up. I was on the civil service list for 3 years before I got picked up for the fire department.
I got the time off from work for the trip, I just hope the :princess: gives me permission to take the 99 out now. I mean jeez, I'm buying her a Lexus. She should let me go.

So you ARE getting a Lexus eh?! Tell her we will install training wheels on your rig before we get to the trail head :D.

Just ordered my USA SPEC iPod adapter from Crutchfield.com so I'll be ready to go.

After dealing with a stereo controlled ipod and fm transmitter, the adapters/stereo control is the only way to go.

I have to update me truck with a new stereo, so I can control the ipod. I have a stereo in my cruiser and once you get used to it, it's tough to use your ipod any other way.
