Thought I would post here as I did give my dues to Dave, there are more OEM/original type 40 drivers here, and well the Florida club is a bit slow:

2 years ago I ponied up and paid cash for a Pakistani top from Ehsan - took several months to deliver, and then I forked over another $250 to have the frame powder coated. I also picked up a pair of OEM soft top doors that need total refurbishing, and even tracked down a set of soft top door hinges. The top is awesome - really makes the 40 look more like a Toyota - BUT I can only use it around town and on mild trail rides. The way I've treated my 40 lately on the trails means that I have to totally remove it for wheeling as I don't want to damage the frame.

That being said - there's a guy offering to pay double for a Paki top. I'm pretty certain I'll be keeping it - but thought I'd post this as a philisophical question.

Keep it until your garage fills up again, then I will come and pick it up so you can have more floor space.

Will take this into mind next time I hear the dark side calling (i.e. Jim saying that I have too much sheetmetal on my 40 and offering to help with the sawzall  )

Ugly Boy told me my tires (35's) were too small. As you have seen it had no effect whatsoever on me!!:flipoff2:
