I like this game.... a bit of photoshop and the results are tempting

yup, I have differently wheels on the way (17" with more backspacing) they are going to need a paint or powedercoat, but i will defiantly go graphite. The dust here makes black look terrible after just a few hours so I will be looking at different shades of graphite.

Not to hijack, but does anyone know a good match for the OEM wheel color? Mine have some discoloration from the mag chloride they put on the roads here; I have thought about repainting them so that they look new and stock color before I get a new set of tires in the coming months.

I would go look at the Duplicolor wheel paints at any local auto parts store. They have a silver finish (HWP101) that should be almost identical to the factory wheel color.

Awesome; thanks. Can this stuff be applied on top of the factory paint or do I need to strip, sand, primer, and paint?

Since you are basically painting them the same color, I would just rough the finish up with some water and steel wool or a Scotchpad. If there are flakes and/or chips I would sand those areas to smooth them out.

Thanks for this; I am pretty sure that I will try out the HWP101 if the match is good. Any idea how many cans it would take to do 4 wheels front and back?

HWP102 Duplicolor Graphite. No clear coat. I had just got my wheels powder coated so I was agonizing over a blue tint that I wasn’t really digging so I decided to scuff up the clearcoat and paint over with the graphite and I’m really enjoying the color. I put about three heavy coats on there and sanded with 320.
