Restored my 1980 FJ40 and did a mini box conversion with an FJ60 pump and bracket. I love it but the box has little play in the steering. I'm sure the worm and/or sector gear is worn. Who can rebuild a box and do it right?

Thanks

Are you sure the slop is in the box and not the center arm, rag joint or the tie rod ends? Those would be cheaper to fix (I'm a big fan of doing the cheapest repair first) and, if you haven't addressed these areas, they probably need the attention anyway.....just sayin'....

Thanks for the heads up CruiserStuff. All of those parts have been replaced and/or rebuilt. I have confirmed with someone turning the wheel back and forth that the play is strictly in the box. Been following your P/S conversion since its exactly the same process and system I used on my FJ40.
