Anyone from our newly formed club heading to the OMT?
I've represented AL by myself for the last three years, I need backup!

The response has been overwhelming! :rolleyes:I don't have enough seats for you alabama folks!

I want to go, but getting my rig up there is too $$$ and I haven't saved up enough.

If I owned a trailer, I would probably be going. I rented one for GSMTR and realized I needed to start looking for one to buy instead of wasting money on rentals. I am most likely going to need one for future events, especially going to Katemcy next Spring!!! :bounce:

If I might the UTBT in Memphis, but I will most likely remove the drive shaft and flat tow up there with a tow bar (which I already have!).

you need to get a double trailer so you can haul my truck too!! I really, really wish I could go to the OMT but we are right in the middle of building an addition on the house and have another addition to the family coming in December. I am hoping to have everything finished in time for the SCC.

Congrats on the addition(s)!
Wish you could go.

I would be there, but...I will be in San Fran for a wedding.

Yes, I know what you are thinking and no, the wedding is b/n a man and a woman.

where is the OMT event?

It is in Tellico. You can probably find more info in the Upstate Cruisers section since they are sponsoring the event. If your interested that is.

I'm not in your club but I'm thinking about going for atleast a couple of days.

We're a gang, and we're hard. It'll be fun, com'on

What time are you planning on getting there Thursday?

Aight, I'm going for sure now. Probably won't be able to wheel at the Under the Bridge Tour so this will have to do until SCC.

Guys...

I was up in that area today... Tellico Plains... be careful... Saw a nice 3+foot rattle snake. He was on the road and I thought he was dead...(gravel). Once I realized it was a snake I backed up and that's when I heard the rattle...and he hightailed it off the road. Kept up the rattle the whole way off into the rocks. Would be very hard to see in the woods.

I've been in the area before but not to Tellico Plains itself. Went to ducktown and then headed north to Tellico...then over east I think it was on 165, and then off into some federal Park roads. Saw one of Upper OHV access roads.... think it was #610 (does that sound right). Fairly remote area. You enter a small hilly area right past a park sign, then just a little ways to the right is a large gravel parking lot surrounded by metail railing. I did not go on the trails as I was in my pickup but did drive around the area. Lot of bikers out on the roads today.

Cattywampus leaves today around 6:30-ish.... meaning we'll roll into camp very late or early Friday.
BillRiley.... you leaving today? if so, save us a spot on the outer crust of the circle... if you've never been there, you'll see when you get there, it's a circle.
