Either add a real water temp guage or make sure you swapped the right sensor.

There are 2, one drives the ecu & the other the cluster guage - unless you’re positive beyond any doubt you swapped the right one (or both) when that was done.

From there maybe your cluster guage needs replacement or the resistor is giving a bad value.

Every thing is in the right place and replacing them was done one by one not like all of them opened at once and then replaced.

But is is possible each one will fit on different place ? Shouldn't there a differences in holes. if I may say that ?! + IF there are swapped the gauge wouldn't have a proper reading during winter or it might not move a bit ... I think I'm not sure

The original gauge works fine if it not then during cold weather it will keep showing wrong reading. It goes High during summer only and during winter it stays in proper position which is less than a half
Your factory equipped gauge is not a true gauge. It has a dead range of 30 or more degrees. The temp can go from 170 up to 215 or higher without the gauge moving. IT just sits in a "safe" zone. If you search on on here you'll see several threads on new aftermarket gauges. IF you install a true temp gauge then you can watch the temp fluctuate up and down at points where the factory one just holds its position. You can then take note what kind of driving causes the temps to rise and fall. Does it heat up in the highway, is it city driving, is it under load, is it at low speed climbs. You can take notes on what makes it heat up and them you can look for what is causing it to overheat. Just throwing parts at the problem because it worked for someone else can get very expensive.

Thanks again,

I will try to find aftermarket gauge ....
I heats up on highway on 120 km/hr and up

I have heard another type of aftermarket gauges which can be connected directly to OBD1 or OBD2 .. I'm not sure and I have no clue about it.

hmmm,
Do you think that will solve the problem or it would just improve the fan rotationo_O

YES most of MUD members improve the FC for warm climate them self DIY or bay one improved from @NLXTACY

I did it myself and it solved my problem of high temp in high speed 70 MPH in the summer

I added another SPAL electrical fan in front on top of the one Toyota put for low speed with AC

Most important you need to have perfect Fan and Fan Shroud that is fitted with sponge strips (OEM) to seal the gap between the radiator and the shroud

I added hood vents too and it helps

Yes the easiest way is with an OBD device. It plugs into your trucks fuse panel. Hard wired ones like a "scan gauge" will hook up and read temps and other measurements and codes. A less expensive way is with a bluetooth reader that will link up with your phone and a program like 'torque" which is what i use.

these guys made these louvers specifically for the land cruiser, I talked to them and they claim these WONT screw p the heat dispersing design form the factory but instead enhance it. Im supercharged, heavy and always doing long hauls and dont really have OH issues, But I do have 2 louvers on hood, no insulation on ood and have the landtank blue fan new radiator flushed with distilled etc. Toyota FJ80 Landcruiser Hood Louvers

can you put pics of installation?

WOW... have you seen any pictues of the louvers installed?

(sorry for the Hijack)

Not on an LC but Ive seen them on a Vette and they are very well made

It is Blue

I’ve seen multiple OEM clutch with little or no fluid. Open the fan clutch and check, only takes 15 minutes. Also get a bottle of at least 20k silicon fluid as factory used 7-8k if I remember correctly. You did everything else so highly likely just need fluid in the clitch.

I bought my blue fan, because I had no idea how to change or add fluid. Lol but I do now.

Can you advice me with any type ...by the way OBD connection my car is not in fuse panel it is under the hood ...as shown on the images

Nice Touch ... but it is illegal to have them back home unless they are made and fitted by the factory

Two thoughts about the thermostat:
Was it an OEM Toyota part or another brand? Toyota thermostats seem to be best. Gates are OK. After that short list change it out for one of the above preferably a Toyota.

No matter which brand thermostat selected it is always a good idea to validate a new thermostat is working at the temps required. I boil them in a pot of water on the stove with a thermometer in the water. All of them perform different. You could buy 10 Toyota thermostats and boil them and all would perform different within a narrow window. Some will begin to open at 170 and be fully opened by 182-183. Some will begin to open at 175.

I have done this for 25 years when replacing thermostats on numerous vehicles. I can remember a total of 2 brand new ones I tested which opened at a much higher temperature than specified and one that never fully opened!:nailbiting:

If you pick one that opens at a lower temp the radiator is able to start working at a lower temperature and should yield a vehicle operating at a few degrees less than one that begins to open at a higher temp.
