Started with Mud in July of 2011 with some extra parts and questions. Love it!! First Cruiser was a 97 in 2007. Have 10 cruisers now. Couple daily’s, few restores and the rest for parts to keep others on the road longer.

Have helped 100+ folks (MUD members and local Cruiser owners) get parts they needed from a couple trucks I had. Check prior posts and comments for references. After taking 100’s of pictures and sending 10 times that many emails, decided there had to be a better way to buy and sell cruiser parts.

So, my partner and I have built a website. www.CruiserAuctions.com. Over 1,000 parts currently listed with more added each week.

If you want to browse, just click or cut and paste link and enjoy (www.cruiserauctions.com). If you want to bid, buy or sell your own parts, fill out simple registration and go. Use your MUD user ID and password when you register and have 1 less password and username to remember.

If you find parts you’re interested in, contact seller and tell them that you are a MUD member. Most parts are available for 10-20% discount off of buy it now price for MUD members only.

Any questions or concerns, contact me at craig.thompson@cruiserauctions.com, cell phone is 832-452-6647 or my partner at matt.owen@cruiserauctions.com, cell phone 713-297-1713.

Enjoy!!! And please send feedback. We are making enhancements to the site weekly and want to hear from you how we can make it better.

My best,

Craig Thompson

i will check it out .i like mud but selling parts on here to me is an exersize in frustration and ebay is getting way to complicated.

Thanks for note. Understand completely.

We are trying to make buying and selling cruiser parts much easier. We've talked to hundreds of cruiser owners and have tried to structure the site to 'answer' the questions most asked and make it easy to find parts:

- What year truck did part come from
- What model years does it fit
- Do you have pictures
- What is condition

Most cruiser owners have parts laying around that someone else may need. By posting them, they 'answer' the questions once, rather than for each inquiry.

We also found that a single part is referred to in many different ways. Grab Handle, Oh S**T bar or as Toyota calls it, Passenger Assist. Sway bar, Stay bar, Stabilizer bar, Third member, Differential, Diff, Pumpkin. Posting Pictures and allow for details descriptions help folks make sure they are getting the right part.

There are a number of fields to enter. Only a few are required. Enter as many or as few as you'd like. Will say that the more you enter, the more likely it is that part is found.

There are also a number of ways to search.... Category drill down, select specific category or search.

We are refining website regularly based. So, please do send comments, good or bad. Comments go directly to my partner and I and we will make enhancements are quickly as possible.

What we hope is that by making this site ONLY and EVERYTHING land cruiser related, listening to feedback we will be able to continuously improve the buying and selling process.

Did you register? My apologies if my post was confusing. Meant to say that since we are fairly new, odds are very good that you can register and create user ID that is the same as you are using on MUD. If my post sounded like the ID's were already created.... sorry for the confusion.

Though.... an interesting idea to talk to Woody about.

Let me know if this doesn't help. We will get you set up.

My best,

Thanks Maxx, let me know if you have any questions. Recruiting more users to sign up and list some of their parts.

Ok I'm in! Seems that my MUD ID and password did not have enough characters to work?

So as I need things I will check your auction. I think it is a great idea to put all these parts in one easy location.

Take care and good luck with it.

Categories

Thanks for suggestion. When we launched, we tried to create a category structure that was as intuitive as possible. So, we created 4 categories that denoted physical location of parts. Under The Truck, Inside the Truck, Under The Hood and Body/Hardware & Motors. The second level starts to refer to function and some physical location. The third level will be function or part name only.

So, in the case of Roof Racks – Body/Hardware & Motors first, then click Roof, then finally there would be spoiler, racks or other. So, roof racks would be categorized under final category of Racks.

If we don’t yet have the category, i.e. winches, we can definitely add that as someone needs to post a part. Just need to send a note and we will get it set up.

Bumpers would be found by Clicking Body/Hardware & Motors first, then click Bumpers, then end caps or bumpers or other.

Please take some time to click through the category structure and see how organized. If you need additional categories, please let us know.

Also, remember that currently the category navigation is for ALL parts and not refined by model year. The ‘Refine by’ options on the left will refine by model year, orientation, series, price, etc. and the results will show in list at the bottom. The category navigation will be ALL models, series, etc. The refine only impacts the list at bottom. As noted in earlier posts, we are working on change the category navigation to include filters for series, etc. We hope to have that rolled out by mid to late December.

Thanks again for feedback. Please continue to let us know if you have questions or suggestions for improvement.

Take care,

Matt Owen

Adding New Parts Today

Will be adding some new parts to the site today. If you guys don't like any of the asking prices, just shoot me a PM or contact me on the site and make me an offer.

Very nice website. I like how its organized, described, and there's a picture for most everything.

Just register, already some stuff that could be tempting... You might get some order Craig ;)

I have a suggestion:
Have a Make an Offer option, so we can offer less than the Buy it Now price. Obviously that can be optionnal from a seller stand point.

Just picked up a oem rear windshield with moulding for 150, and thats shipped and fully insured, plus got a discount for being a mud member! If your in a budget I strongly suggest this site.
