Hey Brent... You've been BUSY! Time to sell off those golf clubs, get a tattoo, buy a few cases of Keystone Light, and join some red-neck off-roading club. :D

LOL! :flipoff2: :D

I have been busy. Got in a round of golf this morning - 82, so so round, but my handicap is down to a 6!

Took this week off and have had fun with the cruiser! If the SoCal TLCA group is a bunch of rednecks, they I'll be close. I'm joining them Saturday morning for some fun at Anza Borrego!

Tatoo or body piercing - NEVER! I'll leave to you. is more my speed. hehehe

I thought real hard before having them weld the bracket to the steel shelf, but I think it's sturdier this way. No bolts to rattle loose from the nuts. As I said earlier, I really do like your flexibility with your mount.

Nice work Brent, looks great! Man your truck is so clean, even the backside of the spare!
Have fun wheeling, glad the Source stuff worked out- man you got the mesh and boot at the bottom and the fancy handle too!

CB

Your set up looks really good Brent.

Cheers to that.

Well, I went to get mine back from the fire extinguisher place and it looks like my unit had a bad (read: busted) burst disc. So, they couldn't fill it up. Luckily, I bought an extra tank so I had some CO2 to use as needed.

Called up the Source and talked to a real friendly gent (actually the dude that you worked with on the group buy Brent) and he hooked me up with 3-4 extra burst discs for me and told me how to set up a master/slave tank system for about $5 in parts from the hardware store.

When I get the burst discs, I'll finally get to fill up the Source tank and start rigging up my system....still undecided on how to do this, but nonetheless, I can't wait.

Hey Beo:

What I wanted to do originally was to have two tanks latched up on fabbed brackets on the two rearmost pillars. One would be the master tank with a regulator, and the second one would be a secondary tank that would kick in once the primary one was finished. I was thinking of a t-style attachment coming out of the master with a 3/8" hose to the slave. That way I would have a dual quick disconnects attachments on the primary tank with regulator and I would have the ability to run two tools or two air points.

The guy at the Source basically said that is more expensive and more hassle than having independent tanks each with regulators and quick disconnect attachments. That way I could run one out the rear PS window and one out the DS window. I am leaning towards this option as I am getting ready to fab up brackets strong enough to hold both tanks to the rear pillars via the 3rd row seatbelt attachment bolts at the top and new drilled ones below giving maximum support.

In any event, that's what my thinkin' was...not sure if you can picture what I am after...I guess an air compressor with two tanks would have worked as well...anyway, I like the CO2 system so far and am happy with my decision to go this route.

Remember that any connections you have prior to the regulator will be at very high pressures (~2000 psi) so your "T's" better be crossed. :D

Post up pics of your master/slave when you get it working.

Loved having the system this past weekend at Truckhaven. Didn't have to remove from the truck. The hose reached to all four tires w/o any problems.

Beno - sorry about the troubles. It doesn't surprise me that The Source took good care of you. They were great to work with.

Praxair in San Francisco was the first place I called and they don't fill in-house. I've called ALL the fire extinguisher places and a couple of welding places and they send it out. A party balloon place is a good idea. I'll call them next time. I just need one local vendor! I might have to resort to getting my own refill station at home!

i agree

This company has changed owners several times since this group buy 3 years ago. This group buy is long dead and gone.

There are several vendors who give mudders a great deal like Ultimate-air with thier setup, I own 2 of them or other vendors who carry other systems.

Click on the haighlighted text below the advertizing banner in the top right to be taken to a list of vendors and check them out.

Thread revival - fair warning for everyone from this group buy.

I just took mine down to Seal's Gas for a refill and the tank is expired - mfg date 6.05 so off to hydro testing for $18 bucks to certify it for another 5 years.

Got the tank back today. No problems with the hydro test. It's good for another 5 years.
