So 2 weeks ago I sold the 40 anniversary edition 80 and tomorrow, the new owner picks up the chopped Lexus. And they have been replaced by my newest cruiser, an '01 100 series with 158,000 that was always dealer maintained. This will be the wife's new daily driver with the only plans being a mild lift.........for now ;)

you and I are on the same page. I just picked up a 2003 LX 470 82k original miles one owner and good maintenance. I am very happy that I was able to find this super clean 100. My 80 will be going on the market in the next few days. I'm hopeful I will get a premium on my 80 with only 98k original miles good maintenance and very built. I'll have to snap a few pictures of my 100 and get them posted.

Congrats Derrick! Looks nice. Pretty soon we will have to rename the clubhouse SoCal100s.

I hope to get back into an 80 but a more beater trail rig only set up. I tried to make my LX450 dual purpose meaning my wifes DD and my trail rig. That became a HUGE PITA. I got all types of hate if I got the tinniest scratch on it. I need a trail rig that has more dents then straight sheet metal and so many scratches you can't tell what the original color was. Something on 37's and ready for extreme abuse. In a few years I hope to be able to muster the funds to have an offroad toy like that.

I too have been eyeing a 100.

2005 Lexus LX 470 with 78k miles. Clean.
Price. $29k. For the Mrs.

Purdy! :flamingo:

That is one good looking hundy

Congratulations Derrick

Pretty soon we will have to rename the clubhouse SoCal100s.
that's funny :) I will have to start a thread "SoCal100s - Post pics of your hundy"

How about SoCalLCs for all you wussies :princess: going with power and cushy independent suspension rides? :deadhorse:  :flipoff2:Gotta keep it politically correct! o_O

Can we rename it now. SoCalLCs not SoCalLC's. LOL

That is indeed one clean Hundy, Congrats Derrick.

I am beginning to feel like the turd in the punch bowl with an 80 here. :flipoff2:

Saw this tonight on my way home. A few blocks away from my house. To late and dark to take pics.

Hundy!!!

Just wondering. Why would anyone replace the suspension on a LC with 90k miles???

Maybe I could join your club if it was not for 80s only.

Nice Hundy! I love mine!

I bet it was just shocks.

It was the springs only.

Man! My wife would dig on us purchasing an RV. I would prefer buying the above mentioned LC and adding a lift and a rtt and calling it a day.
$27k for a LC? Seems somewhat reasonable, but that's like 5 80s.

I picked up my Hundy for just over $12K. Granted, it's a few years older and has more miles, but miles on a dealer maintained Toyota don't bother me. It was a trade in at a local dealer but it was so clean I nabbed it. $27K is just way too much $$$ for my blood for a used car...

27K seems way steep. I just picked up my 03LX470 with 82k and super clean for $16750. I looked for a while before I found that deal. there was another 01LX470 in LA with 74k and asking $17,500. I tried to grab that one first but was beat to the punch. Under $20,000 with under 100k is definitely doable if your patient.

I actually ended up purchasing this one. The guy had the dealer remove the AHC and replace it with a standard OEM suspension because he said he didn't like the feel. Also did the timing belt and water pump at the same time. 2 owner vehicle with a reasonable service history, but a 20k hole with no records. Decided to take a gamble after he worked on the price with me.

So far I love it.

My LX450 is going for sale this week once I do a little detailing.
