As I continue to try to track down the cause of the foot well leak in my 1998, I noticed that my windshield is marked Libbey Nippon, but all of the other windows are marked with Toyota branding.

Can anyone confirm for me, does this mean my windshield is a replacement? Or did Libbey supply the original windshields for Land Cruisers?

Mine was soaking the driver side floormat every time it rained and like many others my problem was the sunroof drains (2). Once cleared, no more soggy floormat!

@DuckLN - The sunroof drain is what I was thinking after my initial forum search. But others have mentioned that it could also be a roof rack issue or an issue with a replacement windshield. I figure if I have a replacement windshield that may be my first line of attack.

Libbey Nippon is a company that supplies auto glass to SafeLite. I'd say your rig got a new windshield.
@2000UZJ - Thanks for the info. I guess I will work on sealing that windshield a little better.

I had a similar leak after replacing a windshield. Of course it didn't rain for like 6 months after... but I took it back and they took care of it.

Same here on the passenger side. We are talking a lot of water, to the point of having electrical issues. Mine was the sunroof too. I Rightstuffed my sunroof for a quick fix since i never use my sunroof. Not a drop since.

No Chris, I have not. I will add that to the list - thanks for the advice.

This is slightly on/off topic. I have my original wind shield and it is horribly pitted to the point that when the sun is low and bright, it is hard to see through. Has anyone found a fix to this, other than a new shield of wind?
