Anyone try to fit this new battery by optima into the 200?
Looks very solid and durable.

Depending on clearance, it might hard to attach cables to the recessed terminals. I wish battery manufacturers wouldn’t recess terminals, especially post terminals.

looks like a new design from Optima .
I had the old cylindrical ones .75 Ah .
with a good solar panel but intense use , mine lasted 15 years !
just chanced them for 2 new 75 yellow optima .
hope the will last another 15 years

I have not tried that battery but it looks like it will fit if you remove the cable covers.

I work at for a battery company and we just got some of those Optima batteries. If weight is something that is of concern to you it is 8lbs heavier then the Interstate Batteries MTX H7 battery.
