I considered them until I went to Discount Tire and they were MORE than either the 8 or 10 ply BFG AT KO's. I went with the BFG's...out the door with replacement certificates for $870. This data point is from the Abilene, Texas Discount Tire on 7-8-06.
I got 295's for my '94 LC and found them to be quite nice and several hundred less out the door than BFG KO's. They were quiet on the road and still allowed me to get 16-17 mpg on the highway.
these guys have a really good price if there is not a discount tires in your town...they also have free shipping...i have ordered from them and they are really good!

No way unless you went to a local dealer that made you a deal cause he wanted to dump the BFG's. They are anywhere from $40 to $50 per tire in the same size compared to Nittos.
285 Nitto AT's are $133. BFG AT's $177. Discount Tire right now.

I paid $173 for my BFG AT KO's, I asked to compare them to the Nitto Terra Grap. he spun the computer around and said, "If you want to pay more for a lesser tire sure!" The Nitto's in 285 were $179 a tire.
Hmmm. somethings poopy on that deal. Nitto D's are $133. Even the load E's are less at $161.
Tire dealers make more on the BFG's than on Nittos. He entered $177 manually I would guess. Quick typie fingers.
You got great tires anyway. I think I'm going back to BFG's due to poor tread life of the Nittos I have. Ashamed though. The Nittos are a better all around tire, especially on wet pavement, snow and ice.
